- The Miss Igede Beauty Pageant: Celebrating the intelligence, confidence, and cultural elegance of the modern Igede woman.
- Vibrant Cultural Displays: Electrifying drum steps, traditional dances, and royal parades showcasing our rich Yoruba ancestry.
- Free Community Health Outreach: Qualified medical professionals providing free consultations, diagnostic tests, and vital medications to our community members.
- Traditional Games & Competitions: Reviving ancestral sports at the Palace Hall to foster unity between the young and old.
- Grand Finale & Thanksgiving: A climatic weekend celebration under the royal blessings of our revered monarch, the Onigede of Igede-Ekiti, followed by a community-wide thanksgiving.
👑 Our History: The Foundation of Ùta Àkè
The festival draws its name from Àkè, the great and powerful hunter from Ile-Ife who founded Igede-Ekiti alongside his wife, Erindo. Together, they blessed our soil with sixteen children—who went on to become the progenitors of the sixteen legendary rivers originating right here in our town, including the sacred Osun River! Ùta Àkè is our time to express profound gratitude for this incredible legacy.
